Is it any surprise that a knock-off film of A Nightmare on Elm Street finally showed up here? Nope. This one does look kind of interesting though...
Yeah, that's a really dumb tag-line and a very odd-looking villain. Is that Egghead or Puppet Master from The Fantastic Four comics? You decide!
Incidentally, I tried to track this down for a real review. As far as I can tell, it's only available on- wait for it- VHS! Oh well, it's not worth the $15 or so that they want for it.
Up next, a movie with one of the most blatantly-stupid titles of all time. How does the box art match up? Stay tuned...
Looks only slightly identical to BAD DREAMS as well
ReplyDeleteI suppose it shouldn't be surprise me to find more than one 'Elm Street' knock-off out there.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, I am sort of curious to see how this movie actually turned out. My guess- utter shit.
It allllmost doesn't look half bad, and I love that it proudly proclaims "An original, made-for-video feature film." The tag-line's sort of reminiscent of PIECES, as well- "You don't have to live on Elm Street to have a nightmare" versus "You don't have to go to Texas to have a chainsaw massacre." Lot of creativity on display here.
