Are you in the need for an over-the-hill killer of Demons without Ash? Well, check out this Animated Show from Canada for just what you need...
Gary is a Demon Killer and was the Chosen One. He has a magic sword and an attitude.
The problem- he can't retire, as a new Chosen One hasn't arisen. Time to get back to work!
Among the 8 Episodes (out of 16) that I saw, the highlights include...
This legally-distinct version of Candyman (whom Gary battles)...
This friendly Tiger (who Gary befriends)...
The time that Gary must face real evil- watching his Teenage Niece!
Can he keep saving the World or will he finally snap? To find out, watch the Show.
A weird, weird Show. It manages to be both inspired by stuff like Ash vs. Evil Dead (do I need to explain this?), but also be original. The guy is a hero- he just has to force himself to be one. He's always going to try and save the day. Granted- he's depressed and not always a nice guy. He's kind of a dick sometimes. Regardless, he also does the right thing- eventually. The Show has fun with clichés and manages to make things its own. It won't always blow your mind, but it sure is fun. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about the Show and enjoyed it greatly. If you want to see something new, check out this Canadian Export. If nothing else, it will make up for the lack of Pacific Heat or that Show with Rob Lowe that I can't be bothered to Google. Plus, I may have a personal bias for this based on one credit...
A strange, quirky Show with Demons and middle-aged depression. It's crazy fun though.
