Mondo Trivia: Grizzly 2 (Part I)

After the surprise success of William Girdler's Grizzly, another film company saw dollar signs.

They took their own movie called Claws and rechristened Grizzly 2 in Canada and Mexico. Thankfully, copyright law kept it under its real title in America.

For the actual sequel to Grizzly (sort of), read Part 2. Stay tuned...

I actually had not heard about it until my research for Girdler's 'The Manitou.' My understanding is that it has no real DVD release under either title.

It's basically just a derivative of a derivative film though, so probably is not worth that much attention.
