Did you know about this movie? I sure as hell did not until last month. As it turns out, there is a reason for it.
The man behind the original had a whole 'car stunt' motif going. He made a couple of other films about the subject matter before returning to make this movie. Unfortunately, the whole thing that made him famous is what ended up killing him.
According to Wikipedia, he was filming a big stunt with a car swung on a giant wire. Said wire wrapped around a telephone pole, sliced it at the base and crushed him. While tragic, his death is right out of Final Destination.
I know you're wondering this, so I'll answer it. Yes, someone has released it on DVD, although it is currently out of print. If you ever wondered whether or not Hollywood had any shame, this should answer it. Stay tuned...
