As the World celebrates an old, grizzled Logan, let's look back at his most vicious battle back in 2008...
In the Story, Wolverine is flown out to a Mountain Town by Department H to capture or kill The Hulk!
He goes on the hunt, finding shrinking footprints and a mysterious man who smells 'toxic.'
Naturally, this is Bruce Banner, who quickly becomes The Hulk. A punt ensues.
No joke- he punt kicks Wolverine about 20 miles into the air and he lands on a Mountain. The fight proper is a bit more even, until....
It is interrupted. We get Wolverine's condensed back-story and see that he was captured by the Scientist from said back-story.
Working for him- Lady Deathstrike, Sabretooth, Omega Red and DEADPOOL!
I won't SPOIL how that all plays out, only telling you that the fight between Hulk and Wolverine is super-intense. Check this one out.
As a bonus, this is half of the Hulk Vs. DVD, so you also get Hulk vs. Thor, pitting the two against each other in a Loki-led fight 4 years before The Avengers!
Good, mostly-forgotten fun. This came out in 2008, but it sure isn't talked about that much. While Marvel has dominated the Live-Action Film battle against DC, the Animated one is much different. DC continues to pump out good-to-great Films on a regular basis. Marvel does well enough on Television, putting out way more Shows than just Teen Titans Go! (thank God). This is one of the last DVD Releases Marvel put out as far as I know, so it is pretty notable in that regard. Hulk Vs. gives you two 30-ish minute Cartoons that are both quite good. They went PG-13 on this, so it is somewhere between the 'I only stab Robots' Version from the Cartoon Shows and 'I stab everyone!!!' Version that appears to be in Logan. While fairly-short and filled with Characters, it is still better in execution than X-Men Origins: Wolverine. You get Deadpool in a big way here, making it a teaser for the full-length Film that he would get nearly a Decade later. While we may not get Live-Action Deadpool and Wolverine together (at least in this iteration), you can enjoy this part here. Hulk Vs. Wolverine is simple, bloody fun. You should enjoy it if you go in expecting the right thing. If nothing else, it appeases the fanbase that wants a piece of Deadpool...
While the stylized Animation worked for me, it may not be for everyone. Even so, this is bloody, good fun to have for about 30 minutes. Watch it!
