Impossibly-Cool Cover Art: Tentacles

Monster movies from the 1970s lack a certain thing that more modern ones have: special effects. The movies are much more reliant on storytelling, characterization and suspense than anything else. Of course, their posters would tell you otherwise...

Wow, that's a cool monster! It can kill you, even while looking in the opposite direction of you and hunting in the exact opposite way that its species does! The look on that lady's face is what sells this though!

Next up, the writer of The Exorcist directs a movie whose poster truly personifies the expression 'WTF?!?' Holy Neil Armstrong, Batman! Stay tuned...

I got an original 27x41 poster for this one, but it's got different artwork. I think it's an advance poster for the film.
