* In South Korea, the film was released as Yonggary, making it an in-name only sequel to the 1967 film.
* Despite being a South Korean film, this movie has yet to be released on DVD there. It has, however, been released in America and Japan, two films that you think would not be supporting a country trying to break into the giant monster market.
* The film was actually re-cut and re-released two years later (in 2001) as Armageddon Beast: Yonggary. The new additions: new CG, a new introductory scene and a non-techno score.
* All of the DVD releases of the film are actually of this new version. No love for the original version, eh?

ReplyDeleteThanks for the positive feedback. It is always nice to hear that, especially given the penchant of rudeness on the internet. I'll check out your site in the next couple of days.
