After finally getting the group together- hey, that's the Title!-, we finally get to see them united. What is their first task?
The still-not-named Titans decide that they must know each other to survive. Time to show off the F/X Budget!
After being absent all of the last Episode, The Nuclear Family is back and their origin is still unclear. Are they mind-controlled humans? Are they robots?
Regardless, they are on the hunt!
Can the almost-Titans unite in time to save themselves from The Family?
Who is this mysterious person offering assistance?
To find out, stream the Show already.
A good Episode, even if it has a weird start-stop Pacing. The Episode can't quite decide whether it wants to be action-packed or all about Character Development. It has ebb and flow that doesn't quite work for me. Seeing the Titans demonstrate their powers- good. Getting all of the vague Nuclear Family backstory- not as good. The bit with them trying to know each other more- fine, even if it seems like stalling. The final Action Scene is good, even if they shoot a lot of it in a dark Hallway, and worth the 'price of admission.' That said, they really emphasize how the Family is really not a strong group to do battle with. Once more than 2 of them are at full-strength, they don't have a chance! I still don't get them being picked as the first Villains, but oh well. It's nice to see the group not separated in random Plots, even if I'm not sure how long that will last. They continue to do something I don't like and something I do. They still make Robin a bit kill-crazy, but also lean into the idea that this is not something good or in his control. What a strange choice! Another week of one step forward and one step back. I'll stick with it if you stick with me...
Next time, a new face and more answers. Will they become the Titans already?!? See you then...
