As the Holidays approach, people come home to see Family. In this case, we see a very unique Family in this, let's be honest, Backdoor Pilot...
On the run from the Monastery, Raven meets Beast Boy. Will he be the one to help calm her dark side?
They run into some trouble at Gar's House, but is it all bad?
Just to be honest, this is now the 2nd time we've had Raven left with new Side Characters by a future Titan. We're only 4 Episodes in, people!
By Episode 20, she'll have been left with The Challengers of the Unknown, The Metal Men, Infinity Inc., the Inferior Five, the Secret Six...
Since the pair had a run-in with some Hunters, the trail for Raven and BB is not cold. Can Starfire and Robin find them (in time)?
Things seem to be going better with The Doom Patrol. Will this be the help that Raven needs or will someone inevitably screw it up?
To find out, keep Streaming.
An improvement in some ways, but a continual step backwards in other ways. Titans is such a tricky Show for me. I like the look of the Characters. I like that they are introducing Characters like The Doom Patrol. I like that they are leaning in to how much of a psycho they made Robin (see below). I like that we get see Beast Boy for more than 20 seconds this time. I like that Characters like Negative Man are not so dour. That said, there's a lot of 'um, okay' stuff here. They lean in a bit too heavy on the body horror stuff for a Show like Titans, for one. They still made Robin a psychopath. They are still overly-dark for most of the time. They lay things on a bit thick sometimes too. Did we need the cliché of 'Surprise- guy has a kid in the other room, so you should feel bad?' There's enough good and interesting here to keep things going for me (plus I'm a completist). That said, they...just make it hard for me to defend this 100% when they keep getting stuff wrong. Please improve, Show!
Next time, will this group unify? What danger will come their way next? See you then...
