If you made a Film in 2014, but needed a hook to release it in 2016? Thank God that The VVitch came out...
At her Aunt's Birthday, the woman suddenly stabs herself. Huh?
Our Lead goes home, but she is being followed by someone strange...
This leads to her having a weird dream. This goes on...and on...and on.
Much like Lords of Salem, this is all about 2 things...
1. Kind of interesting, but pointless visual moments.
2. They aren't real (mostly) and mean very little.
What is actually going on: some evil force is trying to take over our Heroine because reasons.
Will it win? Will our Heroine keep her soul? To find out, watch the Film.
This really didn't do anything for me. It wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It just...was there. Like I mentioned before, it is chock full of 'That looks odd...and means nothing' bits. Long sections are just dreams/visions. It went on long enough that I almost thought that it was just going to keep it up until the end. Lords of Salem is still a worse Film, if for no other reason than everyone trying to be Rob Zombie in that one. This one was just plain forgettable. I didn't really get invested anyone. I didn't feel the stakes. I didn't really care what was going to happen. It looks interesting at times, but ultimately means nothing. In lieu of a final joke, here is a guy playing Breakout (on X-Box?!?)...
Kind of interesting at first, but there's just nothing to this. Meh.
