Having just finished seeing Watchmen a mere 7 hours ago, it is fresh in my mind. It is very awesome. Here is a basic good/bad chart.
Good
Deep, nuanced characters with a rich back story.
Great special effects.
Rorschach is a bad-ass, with very little done to make him 'redeemable.'
They did not mess with the overall plot.
Rorschach has an arch-enemy in prison who is a midget.
Bad
There is a lot of back story to follow if you just want action.
The overall plot is the same, so if you know the book, you know what will happen.
Lots of fairly-digitized Manhattan nudity. Just so you know.
Some really gory scenes involving people killed by Dr. Manhattan.
Lots of flashbacks and the like, if that bothers you.
In summary, the film is very good. If you love the graphic novel, you will love it. Oh, and Brian Michael Bendis can kiss my ass for insulting this movie.
