Tubi Thursday: The Lake (2022)

A Film that got lots of hype from Horror Movie Websites a year or two ago.

Is it good?

In a Cold (well, it is raining, after all) Open, a Giant Monster crawls out of The Lake.

This is a good way to...wait, what's this?

The rest of the Film takes place five years earlier...apparently.
The Plot is kind of a vague mess here.

We follow about five or six different Plots and Character groups- two Scientists, a Brother-Sister Duo, a Cop, etc- as they run afoul of a creature.

Said creature is human-sized, but it does kill lots of random folks before being captured.
It is only inevitable then that the giant-sized one we saw at the beginning would show up.

What happens when it does?

To find out, stream the Film now.
Thailand doesn't quite do as well this week, at least for me.  Granted- alot of people don't like Ong Bak 3 still.  As noted, I don't hate it.

This one has a great idea.  This one has some really good effects!  This one has an interesting concept- focusing the Film on the human drama around the Monster(s).

Sadly, it is not good.
It isn't terrible- like many Reviewers think- but it sure has some real issues.

The Pacing isn't great.  The random slow-motion bits are not good.  The Editing is not great.  You can't follow the Story well and it is real problem.

Can you make me bored with a Giant Monster Movie?  Apparently so.  Congratulations?

You might like it more than me.  That's alright.

If you can watch it for the neat F/X in its spurts, it might be worth a look.  That is until they rip off Jurassic Park.
