In said Film, Narcisse is a strange man that Boone meets in a Psych Ward. He sets him on the path to Midian.
In Midian, he aids Boone and helps protect Lori as well.
When it comes time to rescue Boone from the Police, Narcisse signs up and helps do just that.
When the attack comes, he tries to stop Decker (which is shown in the Book, but not the Film).
He gets killed and his death proves to Boone that he's not truly immortal, adding drama to the final fight.
Sorry, Narcisse. You almost saved the day.
At least you get to live in the Theatrical Cut, even if it is via Reshoots and Editing.
