Forgotten TV: The Hitchhiker- 'Perfect Order'

With all of the Horror stuff going on, this one has kind of been forgotten about.  Let's remedy that...
In this Episode, a psychotic Photographer goes too far.  I feel like I already did one about that, but this is different...
This Photographer abuses his Models in the name of Art.  He's clearly insane, but, apparently gets results.
This woman- Virginia Madsen- seeks to be famous at all costs.  Since The Sextape hadn't been invented yet, she's a Model.
She attends a Show held by the Photographer and it's...something that even Banksy would think was over-the-top.

Yes that is an Assault Rifle.
In spite of that, she begs to work for him and he relents.  I can see the appeal...
After working her hard, he spies on her a bit before going too far for her by trying to drown her!
He convinces her to stay- just barely- and he pushes her into a Maze that he apparently built.

After narrowly avoiding his lasers (seriously!), she pushes him into them and he dies, finally getting to see his Perfect Order (or something).
Oh and the Title Character is here to explain the moral.  Thanks.  The End.
Another tale of obsession and murder.  I feel like there must be more Themes to explore here.  No?  Just doing this one again?  Alright.  This one, like other Episodes, does a good job with its simple Plot.  Crazy guy, desperate girl and insanity- a good mix.  Madsen does a nice job at being desperate, overly-ambitious and somehow-still-relatable.  We know that she's making a bad decision, but hope that it works out for her all the same.  On the plus side, she's not blown up in the end.  It's sad that only 'being traumatized for life' is a happy ending in this Show.  The Artist is portrayed as truly crazy, but they never quite explain why people think he's so great.  His Photos are alright, but nothing special.  I guess I'll just take your word for how great and popular he is, Show.  They definitely do a good job of making him crazy though.  It's not clear how many times his Assistant can watch him nearly kill people before finally going 'okay, now I should do something.'  This was clearly part of a pattern, so that guy must have seen some bad stuff!  All in all, a pretty one-note, but well-made Episode.  I still like the Jerry Orbach Episode the best, although that one didn't have a guy with a house full of commercial-grade lasers in 1986 though!
Next time, another strange tale that will probably involve murder.  Seems like a safe guess.  See you then...
