Streaming Leftovers from 2021 (UPDATED)

As we look back at the Year that was (not great for many), we often look back at what we covered.

How about we look back at what *wasn't* covered for a change?

With 8,042 Streaming Services, there are just sooooo many Shows.  I can't talk about them all.

Here are some I watched, but didn't Review (until now in this truncated form)...

1) Truth Seekers (Prime): This odd hybrid of Horror and Comedy was pretty interesting.

A Ghost 'Expert' goes on adventures with a non-believer (with a secret or two) while working for a Cable Company.

It manages to alternate between serious (with death) and goofy (with dirty jokes) pretty seamlessly until the final Episodes, which pick a side.  It also randomly has an underlying Plot that comes to a head there too.

Check it out.

2) The Witcher- Season 1 (Netflix)- I haven't watched Season 2 yet, so no SPOILERS.

A lone warrior named Geralt battles evil (mostly for money) in a dark, fantasy world.  It's based on the many Books in the Series, giving you a story from one Book in an Episode, while doing a different Book's Sub-Plot in the same one.

If you can get into the rich, nuanced world and past the unnecessary complexity of the Storytelling, it's a good watch for Mature Viewers.

3) SuperMansion- Season 1 and 2 (Prime): Another one with a caveat, as I'm on Season 3 right now.

In a World full of crime, only one team can stop it.  Unfortunately, they are very neurotic, dysfunctional and, in one case, well past their prime.  Them living together probably doesn't help.

Season 1 builds up to a big reveal and betrayal, while Season 2 ups the ante with new villains and bigger stakes.

Fans of Superheroes and raunchy humor need apply.

4) Inside Job (Netflix)- A Show that parodied Conspiracy Theorists so well that they actually used their content!

A woman is the Lead Scientist for a Government Organization behind all of the weird, wacky and bizarre government secrets like Hollow Earth and the like.  Her personal life gets in the ways as many conflicts arise during her time there.

It's weird, but fun.  The Characters are a good balance of bad (to make the Plots happen) and able to grow.  It's a quirky, but enjoyable bit of animation and here's to Season 2.

5. Animaniacs- Season 1 (Hulu): I waited for a reason to get the service, so I'm late on the Show.

After a long-ass time, Animaniacs is back, now with updated jokes, animation and minus references to 'pay for play contracts.'  Does anyone remember what those were?

At its heart, the Show still works with the main Segments and Pink & the Brain keeping pace.  I could point out that they haven't (as of yet) made a new break-out Segment (like P&tB was), although you can see a few attempts.  Season 2 is here now.

6. The Bad Batch- Season 1 (Disney +): A steady watch during some slow Pandemic days.

A group of unique clones of Jango Fett (each with their own special traits) are forced out of power due to Order 66.  Can they be Heroes or just Mercenaries?  Can they survive when one of their own betrays them?

It's a fun, episodic ride through a time not covered in the Films.  In other words, it's something new (even if it is mining past content as set-up).

Here's to more good content in 2022 and maybe me skipping over stuff less.
