Poor Bastards of Cinema: Xtro (1982)

*This one has been a long time coming (since I don't do a new one until I have a follow-up in mind).*

In Xtro, a man returns as some sort of alien-creature to his long-lost family.
He mutates his Son into a creature too, who proceeds to do freaky stuff while the Mom and Stepdad are away.

This leads to a Neighbor calling the Landlord to check up on things.
He reluctantly agrees.

After a half-assed call, he goes by the door, knocks once and then leaves.

Problem solved!
So naturally, he takes the Elevator back down to this basement dwelling...when the lights go out and weird noises occur.
For some reason, the kid-alien uses his new powers to bring Toys to life (just go with it).

He sends a weird, spinning thing at him and it cuts his throat...somehow.
He dies and is never mentioned again.
He was only mentioned once before.

So why did he kill the guy?  He was no threat.  He left.  He wasn't going to stop him.

The moral: don't do your job, even if you plan to half-ass it.  You will still die!

Next time, I go to a slightly-newer Film and a pair of Poor Bastards.  First up, random new homeowners that deserve to die.  See you then...
