A Film that appears to be dated uses a dated thing- shocking.
So, after doing more research (by reading its full IMDB Page), 2000's Carnivore actually started production in 1989!!! So it is less of a 'love letter' to '80s Horror as a kind-of-sort-of part of it.
Since it finished production in 2000 (quick turn around), we get the dated elements.
For instance, Cops that show up where the Monster is.
You can probably guess what happens to them.
It sure isn't pretty!
On the plus side, he gave the Film one of its few good Effects.
On the negative side, you know, the whole being dead thing.
Next up, I go to more recent fare and dip *vaguely* into SPOILERS. Even so, I have to document it when a Poor Bastard meets his/her end. See you then...
