DCE-Hulu: Young Justice- Season 3- The Final Episodes

At last, I reach the end of Season 3.  I wanted to enjoy each Episode on their own, so I spaced out the viewing.

Why binge watch and then run out of content that much faster?

To see my thoughts on the final 3 Episodes, read on...
Episode 24: Into the Breach
An attempt is made to free their teammates and save the World.  It's a two-pronged assault, so it won't be easy.  Someone takes some extra punishment before all is said and done!

Thoughts: A really good Episode.  It keeps the Plot in motion, while also giving you closure to other parts of it.  Seeing who helps the Team is a nice surprise.  Seeing the battle between the group and Granny is also nice.  She's been all talk so far, so it was about time that she acted on her own.  It gets very intense in this one, so be warned if you are shy of violence.  The best part was seeing many Heroes finally step up and get their big moment.

Episode 25: Overwhelmed
A bit of a palette cleanser for all of the big action and Plot.  In its place, you get resolution to a number of lingering sub-plots that couldn't be dealt with during the fighting.  We also get the introduction of another one that will pay off in the Finale.

Thoughts: A nice break before the big pay-off.  We finally get the resolution to the Huntress sub-plot that has been lingering all Season.  No SPOILERS, but it does get emotional.  Similarly, we see another side of Superboy and a reminder of his past.  It is not a 'thrilling' Episode, but it is a satisfying one.  The placement here makes sense, especially as the Finale is properly set up at the end.

Episode 26: Nevermore
It all comes down to this!  The battle for Markovia is multi-pronged.  A traitor is revealed.  A big decision is made.  Power is granted.  Trust is lost.  Hope is gained.

Thoughts: A solid ending that leaves you wanting more.  It does give you closure to alot of things- good.  It also opens up a number of big things for Season 4- good.  It does have that awkward thing where it just skips Scenes to speed things up, but they are never the most important ones.  They manage to close out most of the Arcs here and everything feels fairly-complete.  It is a balancing act, for sure.  Too much closure and why bother coming back?  Not enough closure and it doesn't feel like a Finale.  A solid one here.
All in all, the Show has a good, but not always great balance.  As I mentioned in the original version of this summary, the Show has a Cast Problem.  The problem isn't with anyone in it- they just have too many people!  Look back at Season 3- the highs and the lows- and then think about some thing.  How many lines or moments does Static have?  Does Robin do all that much in 26 Episodes?  Can you name all of the Justice League Members?  What are Icon's powers?  Who is Hardware?  When the Show is at its worst, Characters disappear for ages and pop up only in group shots or at random times.  The catch is that when they do get an actual moment, they usually shine.  Guy Gardner didn't do much this Season, but every Scene of his stuck with me.  Wonder Girl is good in all of her Scenes too- they just don't give them enough.  For all my gripes, they gave great Arcs to a number of Characters- Black Lightning, Geo-Force, Nightwing, Aquaman, etc- and the positives outweigh the negatives.  It's possible that they lean too much on certain Characters- like Luthor or Vandal Savage- and don't take risks nearly enough.  Like I said before, they work when they do- like with Lobo.  Do more of that next time, guys.  Be daring.  Be bold.  Be brave.  When you do, good things happen.  For instance, you make friends with cute aliens...
It's been a good Season.  Here's hoping for more quality and even better stuff in Season 4!
