New Streaming: Hawkeye- Episode 1 and 2

After getting past ONE Holiday and a busy work schedule, I'm going to prep you for Episode 3 with a quick look at the first 2 Episodes of...

Back in 2012, a young girl living in NYC gets to see the big attack way too close for comfort.

It would have numerous effects on her life in the present (of 2024 Marvel)…
She ends up at a High Society Gala with her Mom and her Mom's new Boyfriend/Fiancee.

She follows him to a secret Auction, but robbers strike and she does the only logical thing- dress up as Ronin and fight them.

What could go wrong?
Well, the former-Ronin and current Hawkeye is in town at the same time, wanting to spend a quiet Christmas with his family (their first since the Snap and the Blip).

He's, of course, pulled into the action.
After that night, Kate begins to look into her new future-Stepdad and even questions what's up with her Mom (besides being a Ghost Hunter).

Are we looking at the next big MCU Villain (that isn't Kang)?!?
One of them wants a team-up, while the other just wants this all to end.

Can they get along?
As Episode 2 comes to an end, is that even going to matter?

One way to find out...
A strong, character-driven 2-Part Premiere.  In the wake of other Shows by Marvel, this could have gone alot of ways.  Was it going to be big and wild like What If...?  Was it going to be full of sci-fi jargon and technology like Loki?  Was it going to be all serious and political like Falcon and the Winter Soldier?  Was it going to make the Internet into amateur Detectives like WandaVision?

It's 'just' a Character Drama?!?  Okay.

Seriously, what were we expecting with a Hawkeye Show?  In the MCU, he's arguably the most grounded guy, showing his awareness of the absurdity in that one bit from Avengers: Age of Ultron.  He's not going to fight an Alien.  He's not going to get involved in the Multiverse.

He's going to fight criminals, try to be with his family and (if he has to) mentor Kate Bishop.  It's a good 2 Episodes to get all of the parts moving for just that.  Kate is a strong, driven Lead that I want to succeed.  Yes, that did rhyme by accident.  It's getting good and I'm curious to see how much they introduce.  Now let's just see if he can teach his MCU Co-Star Paul Rudd who's the better LARPer...

Next time, a new face (or two?) enters the MCU.  Will the traffic pick up for this one?  See you then...
