Poor Bastards of Cinema: Alligator

Alligator is an '80s classic that mixes a message of class warfare and giant reptiles.
That's what was missing from Mega Python vs. Gatoroid!

The film also brings us a notable Poor Bastard of Cinema!

In a late scene in the film, a kid is at a pirate-themed birthday party.  The kids get ready to make him 'walk the plank'...
The kids, however, don't realize that the alligator is in their pool.

The mother turns on the pool lights, which wakes up the sleeping monster!
The kid goes for a swim and is quickly attacked!
That looks bad, but maybe someone will save him.

Maybe someone will...
Oh.  Timmy...will not live.

The worst part: this scene is never addressed later.  It just happens, the parents freak out and the movie continues.  You don't want to dwell on this?!?

Up next, The Asylum produces a Poor Bastard of Cinema.  No, it's not me.  Stay tuned...
