May the 4th Be Lame: Star Wars Droids- The White Witch

Since I rand out of Star Wars Films to do and I want to avoid those Ewoks, it is time to take a look at a different Show...
Why not start from the beginning?  This is the first Episode of this 'iconic' Show.  It begins with a promising Title...
After a ship crash, our 2 Droids are on a desert planet.  This sure does sound familiar...
The pair end up with two would-be Speeder Racers.  The group are shown The White Witch and it is...a ship.

Should I even ask what point of reference there is for the term 'Witch' in the Star Wars Universe?
This evil guy is after them...for some very vague reasons.  Sometimes just being evil is enough, really.
Joined by a young lady- they are rare in Star Wars- our hero with the dopey half-shaved haircut (a 1985 Hipster) pulls out...a Lightsaber?

He uses it to...open a Door.  That's...all, huh?  Alright then...
Our Heroes escape and head to a Planet to race.  Naturally, the Episode closes like a 1980's Sitcom.  Oh you Jedis!  The End.
So is this canon or what?  This Episode sure was...kind of familiar.  Those Droids sure do get stranded on Desert Planets alot!  To be fair, it has been the same Planet a few times.  To note, this is allegedly canon- at least it was before Disney.  There's no telling now, although would anyone mourn this?  Debates over canon aside, this is pretty well-Animated and nothing that embarrassing.  It sure beats that Ewoks Show!  Hearing Anthony Daniels is always a treat and the Voice Acting is good overall, although nothing mind-blowing.  It is a pretty lean Story and I have to wonder if the Format is to blame.  We don't get much of a resolution here as the Story is meant to keep going.  I was expecting a little more, but oh well.  If nothing else, this odd bit of Animation History features some lovely misleading Credits...
Pretty harmless stuff and honestly full of decent Animation.  It is a weird footnote in Star Wars History for sure!
